Hal itu bisa dilihat dari banyaknya pengunjung yang memadati ajang pameran teknologi informasi CommunicAsia 2009 yang berlangsung di Singapore Expo, Singapura.Pada hari pertama CommunicAsia dibuka (Selasa, 16/6), pameran teknologi yang akan berakhir pada Jumat (19/6) itu tetap berlangsung meriah. Antusiasme pengunjung tampak memadati stand-stand pameran dari Hall 3 - Hall 8 Singapore Expo.Di antara ratusan stand pameran, booth pabrikan ponsel Samsung dan LG merupakan dua stand yang paling diminati pengunjung khususnya pengunjung tipe consumer. Selain karena lokasi stand yang memang strategis berada di tengah-tengah Hall, kedua stand tersebut juga dibangun begitu megah sehingga cukup mencuri perhatian.Para pengunjung yang datang ke sana diberi kesempatan menjajal teknologi teranyar dari para exhibitor. Pengunjung tidak hanya datang dari dalam negeri Singapura melainkan datang dari berbagai negara di dunia.Pada kesempatan yang sama, sejumlah global announcement product untuk tahun 2009 dilakukan para pabrikan seperti Samsung, Yahoo!, Garmin-Asus, LG dsb.Samsung telah mengumumkan akan segera merilis ponsel bertajuk Samsung Jet yang konon dibidani untuk melawan iPhone milik Apple. Pabrikan LG juga tidak mau kalah dan mulai mengkampanyekan seri ponsel LG S-Class dengan UI terbaru di CommunicAsia 2009.Sementara itu, duet vendor Garmin-Asus sepakat akan segera merilis ponsel berbasis location based communication (LBS) yang dilengkapi dengan tombol QWERTY. Pihak Garmin-Asus memperkenalkan produk mereka dengan nama Nuvifone.Menurut pihak penyelenggara pameran, ajang CommunicAsia kali ini diikuti setidaknya 1.900 peserta dari 60 negara di dunia.
